YEAR 1: GREEN LIVING

  • We were assigned to design and construct a "Green Living": a nursery and shelter for plants.

  • My group designed "Rebung" which the design was inspired by bamboo shoots. its made from timber its main structure, bamboo for decorations and Bertam leaves for its roof.

YEAR 1 FINAL PROJECT - COMMUNITY DESIGN

  • Proposed Landscape Design of Central Area at Temuan Indigenous Village Batu 16, Gombak, Selangor.

  • I was assigned to design the center of the village which contains a community hall, a play court, and a stage, which are surrounded by the local housing.

  • My design aims to innovate a lively communal area that is functional to the community while preserving the cultural value of the Temuan tribe. My design concept: "Heart of Temuan", visualizes the whole village as a body, while the central area is the heart where every cell (community) will gather.

YEAR 2 SEM 1: ECOLOGICAL DESIGN

  • Proposed Landscape Design at Perak Botanical Garden, Taiping, Perak.

  • For ecological design, I designed a part of the Perak Botanical Garden, which comprises the orchid garden wetland garden, and palm garden.

  • My idea was to reimagine the plants' exhibition based on the original ecosystem. My design concept was "Ecomimicry", which literally means the imitation of an ecosystem. By imitating the native ecosystem, it can open up to various atmospheres and ambiances, while instilling a better understanding of the plants

YEAR 2 SEM 2: URBAN DESIGN

  • Proposed Landscape Design at Bandar Tanjung Malim, Perak

  • For Urban design, my team and I designed Bandar Tanjung Malim into a walkable city that is accessible, safe, and attractive for pedestrians.

  • As for my detailed development plan, I create a vibrant square as a center of social and commercial activities.

YEAR 2 SEM 3: MULTI-DISCIPLINARY PROJECT

  • Students from four departments, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Applied Arts Design, and Quantity Surveying, are grouped and assigned a project on the IIUM campus.

  • We were assigned to The Rejuvenation Al-Ghazali Walk which the main objectives are to enhance the image of Al-Ghazali and to fix and improve the stormwater runoff circulation system.

YEAR 3 SEM 1: LANDSCAPE RESOURCE PLANNING

  • Proposed Landscape Master Plan for Royal Town of Pekan, Pahang.

  • For Resource Planning, my team and I planned the Royal Town of Pekan, Pahang into a community-centric royal town.

  • I designed "Pinggiran Jelata" for my action plan, a royal recreational park highlighting the royal heritage of rivers, jetties, and watercraft.

YEAR 3 SEM 2: PRACTICAL TRAINING

  • For about four (4) months, I had my internship with Sitelink (M) Sdn. Bhd. It was a remarkable experience for me since it was my first step into a real-life professional scenario.

  • Throughout my training, I have done many tasks including designing, drafting, 3D modeling, presentation slide making, documentation, writing letters, and site visits.

YEAR 4: FINAL PROJECT

  • Sponge City Concept: Revitalization of Section 13, Shah Alam Sports District

  • For my final project, I chose Section 13, Shah Alam as my site due to its vulnerability to flash floods, and several other issues. Furthermore, the location of Shah Alam Stadium at its centre serves as a significant landmark that gives a prominent image to the site.

  • For the first half of the project, I conducted thesis research on the topic, including a literature review, inventory, analysis, and synthesis. This research was then presented in UMRAN 2021. The research paper can be accessed here.

  • As for the second half, I produced a Master plan and a Detailed development plan as shown below.

Extras

Leisure Photography Compilation

  • Photography is my personal way of appreciating the environment, and my way to be expressive.

  • Most of these photos were taken by me while travelling which were then edited and posted on Instagram. Photography trains my eye to see how the surroundings affect the view as a whole, hence helping me to understand how each element in a design is crucial and significant. It also helps me to be more expressive in design because a good picture is the one that portrays messages to the observer, so it applies to design.

Art & Sketches

  • I also sketch for both study and casual purposes. These are some of the sketches and drawings I made throughout my studies.

Video Editing

  • I had early exposure to video editing using Vegas Pro in high school. During my tertiary education, I had a lot of opportunities to edit teaser videos and narration videos.
